Paramedics Plus Description: Performs pre-hospital patient care for Paramedics Plus. The Paramedic should strive to achieve and maintain high levels of patient care and clinical performance. The medical and clinical performance standards will be in accordance with documented protocols, practices, and medical control board directive; in the best medical interest of the patient; and confined to the scope of practice for the Paramedic in the State of Oklahoma. We are the largest enhanced 911 system in the State of Oklahoma responding to over 110,000 calls per year with over 1400 square miles of services area. Paid OK State EMS license. • Must be 21 years of age minimum to be considered

• Valid National Registry EMT-P License

• Valid Drivers License

• Valid CPR card

• Out of State applicants***State EMS license may be obtained post-employment. Pre-Hire Process • Written application submitted

• Panel interview-Pass/fail

• After which time a tentative offer of employment may be made.

• If offer is made candidate will proceed next phase

• Motor vehicle operators’ inquiry-Pass/fail

• Nation-wide background investigation-Pass/fail

• Physical agility-Pass/fail

• Drug screen-Pass/fail

• Physical-Pass/fail

• Begin 6-week in-house academy **NOTE** FAILURE TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE ORIENTATION ACADEMY COULD RESULT IN DISMISSAL**

• Begin Minimum of 8 FTO rides upon successful completion of the academy.

• Paperwork/Performance evaluated by Office of Medical Director.

 

All of the above is required for all individuals selected for any positions. These appointments are scheduled after a job offer has been made and accepted.
