Dave is a Career Paramedic with Southeast Ohio Emergency Medical Service District. Graduated from Hocking College
in Nelsonville Ohio in 1999 in Police Science. Accepted to the
Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy in January 1999 and graduated April
1999. Worked as a Police Officer for 6 years. In 2003 Graduated from Ashland
Technical College with EMT-Basic License for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Began EMS career with Jan-Care Ambulance Service
in July 2003. November
2004 was hired with Southeast Ohio Emergency Medical Service District
where he is still employed.. Dave graduated from the University of Rio Grande
in August 2007 with his Paramedic Certification and became Nationally
registered Paramedic in September 2007. Currently
sets on the Board of Directors for the
American Red Cross. He is also
the Health and Safety Services Administrator for the American Red Cross
Northeast Kentucky Chapter.
He Was
appointed as a Kentucky Colonel by the Governor of the Commonwealth of
Kentucky in September 2005.

Thomas is a full-time Paramedic
with Mecklenburg EMS Agency in Charlotte, North Carolina. Thomas
began his career in EMS in June of 2000 after completing EMT school
at CPCC in Charlotte. He then joined a local volunteer EMS/Rescue
Squad where he served as a first responder and the terms of EMS
Captain and EMS Assistant Chief thru his duration with the
department. He began working full-time as an EMT in April of 2002 at
MEDIC and has been full-time in EMS since. Thomas graduated from
Carolinas College of Health Sciences in 2006 with a professional
degree in Emergency Medical Sciences as a Paramedic. He continues to
work full-time with MEDIC as a Paramedic Crew Chief and part-time as
a Paramedic with Mint Hill Fire & Rescue. He’s currently pursuing an
AAS in Emergency Medicine and Level One Instructor status with the
North Carolina State Office of EMS. Thomas is the Fieldmedics, Inc.
Vice President of Education.
In his rare off-time, he enjoys
spending time with family and friends. He is also an avid gamer,
golfer and fisherman.

Frances is full-time EMT-Intermediate
in Massachusetts. Frances started her EMS career in 2001 working with a
rural fire department in the state of Massachusetts. Late 2001 Frances
started as a volunteer with the Hilltown Community Ambulance. Former
Huntington Lions Club Ambulance, a small community based service
that has the largest coverage area in Massachusetts, just under 200
square miles. Frances is currently working Full time EMT-I/Training
Officer with Hilltown Community Ambulance, Per-diem EMT-I with Becket
Ambulance, and as a Fire Fighter/EMT on the Blandford Fire Department.
She currently holds a Massachusetts EMT-I and Fire Fighter 1 and 2
certificates. Also a current member of FIELDMEDICS.COM and CAPEM
Council for the Advancement of Pre hospital Emergency Medicine. |
Chaplain Straus is an ordained
non-denominational pastor and is the Founder and President of Emergency
Ministries. Chaplain Straus has been involved in fire and EMS services
since 1973. Today, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Counseling,
an Advanced and Pastoral Crisis Intervention certificate in Critical
Incident Stress Management and holds certificates of training in Fire as
well as EMS Chaplaincy. Chaplain Straus is a member of the American
Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress and is “Board Certified Crisis
Chaplain” in Traumatic Stress. He holds a “Master Chaplain” designation
from Chaplain Fellowship Ministries International and is also a
certified EMS Chaplain with The Emergency Medical Chaplains
Association. Chaplain Straus is a certified Level 1 Firefighter
Instructor, a Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic and works full time on
a 9-1-1 medic unit. He is a Field Training Officer & Relief Supervisor
for the city where he is employed. He is also a graduate of the National
Fire Academy in Emmetsburg, MD (EMS Division) with a certificate in
“Advanced Safety Operations and Management.” Chaplain Straus spent five
weeks in New York City at “Ground Zero,” following the attack on the
World Trade Center, working directly with the FDNY - within the 1st
Battalion - talking one-on-one with many of the firefighters, EMTs and
police officers who survived the attack and collapses. He spent several
days “on the pile” as an on-duty Chaplain, for two different sector
commands, assisting in the removal of human remains of fallen members of
service.
In addition to serving as the Chaplain
for FieldMedics.com, Chaplain Straus actively serves as Chaplain for
several fire and EMS agencies in southeast Texas. Chaplain Straus
also runs a website for the Chaplaincy at
www.emergencychaplain.org and has authored two devotionals that
appear in the “Firefighter Bible” published by Holmon Bible Publishing.
He writes a weekly article called “STRESS RELIEF”(www.emergencychaplain.org/chapcool.htm).
